Sardam International School :: Managed by SABIS®Welcome to Sardam International School!

In a joint effort, the Kurdistan Regional Government and SABIS® Educational Services have embarked upon a 3-year educational project that focuses on raising the standard of education in the public school system and rebuilding a nation from its roots.

As part of this project, Sardam International School will open its doors on September 1st, 2009 to welcome more than 300 children in Kindergarten through Grade 3. It will be located on a new, purpose-built campus provided by the Unites States of America to the Kurdistan Regional Government.

SABIS® will provide Sardam International with its international education system, including curriculum and books among other educational tools, and will appoint a knowledgeable group of SABIS® education trainers to work with the local teachers for a period of three years, after which the school will be fully operational with local Kurdish staff.

SABIS® PPP School in Kurdistan Welcomes Noteworthy Guest
On April 21, 2010, Sardam International School welcomed the Duhok regional head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Mr. Sarbast Lazgin. An important political figure of Duhok, Mr. Lazgin, who was accompanied by his KDP colleagues and an official from Duhok’s Education Directorate, was warmly welcomed by the school’s administration and staff.

First KG fun days at Sardam
The first year of Sardam has had many wonderful moments, such as the KG fun days. On Saturday April 10th the KG1 Fun day took place and the following Saturday, April 17th, the KG2 Fun day took place on the school premises in Duhok. Parents were invited to cheer for the students as they competed in fun activities.
