My kids love get up early in the morning and get ready for school. This in itself is a breakthrough. School has never been so popular with the kids and this has changed all because of your system. The relationship between children and their teachers seem to be finally working and this is a lot to be proud of.

I think you are doing a great job and we hope for your continued success. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Fakhir Mergasori International School :: Managed by SABISWelcome to Fakhir Mergasori International School

In recognition of the central role the provision of quality public and private education will play in the reconstruction of Kurdistan, the Prime Minister of the Regional Government has been instrumental over the past 3 years in bringing SABIS® to his region of Iraq by actively supporting both the establishment of a private Choueifat International School and later by signing a management agreement with SABIS® for an initial "Public-Private-Partnership" (PPP) school, both located in the Kurdistan capital city of Erbil.

On September 1st, 2008, this first PPP school, named after the Kurdish martyr Fakhir Mergasori, opened its doors to more than 300 children in Kindergarten through Grade 3. Initially, it shared a new, purpose-built school provided to the Kurdish Regional Government by the Korean aid program. Through a unique management agreement, SABIS® will provide its international curriculum and books and will appoint a small group of SABIS® education trainers to work with the local teachers for a period of 3 years - after which the school will be fully operational with local Kurdish staff.
